How “Smart Sync” Works

What is “Smart Sync”?

AIMI Smart Sync is the logic that decides what time of the day each post should be scheduled and is powered by our machine learning. This is based on the time frames listed below. So the max is seven total posts per day AIMI will schedule using Smart Sync.

The number of posts created and days of the week for those posts are set up on the campaign level.

Time Frames:

  1. Morning 6 AM – 9 AM
  2. Mid-Morning 9 AM – 12 PM
  3. Afternoon 12 PM – 3 PM
  4. Late-Afternoon 3 PM – 5 PM
  5. Evening 5 PM – 8 PM
  6. Night 8 PM – 11 PM
  7. Late Night 11 PM-6 AM

When new posts are added to your calendar, “Smart Sync” will schedule the posts to take unused time frames.

For Example:

User A has a calendar built and scheduled for the month. Three posts per day using the following time slots:

  1. Morning 6 AM- 9 AM
  2. Afternoon 12 PM-3 PM
  3. Night 8 PM-11 PM

On Monday, they have a post scheduled for 7:10 AM, 1:22 PM, & 8:30 PM.

If the user creates a new campaign with a post to publish on Monday and uses the smart sync option, AIMI will find the next available time slot and randomly pick a time for the post within the unused time slot.

So, in that case, post number #4 would randomly pick a time using the Mid-Morning 9 AM-12 PM slot since it is unused and the next available.

AIMI always tries to have 45 minutes between scheduled posts. So that she never schedules posts back-to-back. If that requires the next post to move to the next available time slot because of this 45 min condition or all time-slots are used, she will schedule the post to the next day and available time-slot.
